Colourful is a small-scale “children's festival” for children up to 12 years old. Singing, dancing, exploring the mysterious nano world, tasting delicious snacks, making crazy faces or jumping on a bouncy castle. Children can have a great time this afternoon and let their imaginations run wild with all kinds of colourful activities.

Helmond Art Festival 10 September
Casual art and culture sniffing for young and old
On Sunday 10 September, the centre of Helmond will be all about art and culture; with an extensive programme for young and old. Besides a meandering art market through the city centre, you can enjoy street theatre, acrobatics and music. Those who want to get creative themselves can indulge in various workshops, including graffiti, sculpture and ceramics. For children, Piet Blomplein will be transformed into a children's square. Here, they can have fun in the children's music garden, attend plenty of workshops, enjoy building in the tech lab, make musical instruments, face painting and much more. There will also be musical performances and dancing by, for and by children. In short: an afternoon you'll want to attend!
Helmond Art Festival is collaborating with enthusiastic local and regional entrepreneurs, institutions, makers and artists to make it a fantastic third edition.

Blowfest
On Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 September 2023, another edition of the Blaasfestijn Centrum Helmond will take place. This festivity takes place in the centre of Helmond where it will be pleasantly busy on this shopping Sunday! Between 12.00 and 18.00, various bands will fill the centre of Helmond with music on various stages. Each chapel will perform several times to bring the atmosphere that makes this festivity so unique.
During the fest, there will be competition for two Gouwen Hellemonders. One trophy will go to the band that leaves the most musical memory with the Helmond audience and one trophy will go to the best leutkapel. Around 17:30, the awards ceremony will take place on the Havenplein.
Urban Matterz - Urban Sports & Culture Festival 23 and 24 September
SATURDAY We kick off the festival on Saturday 23 September with the UrbanMatterz Oldskool Hiphop concert, where the greats of hip-hop history will make their appearance.
SUNDAY On the festival Sunday, 24 September, we combine the best of urban sports & culture with the rich hip-hop culture. From 10:00 am, there will be various urban activities and demonstrations in and around De Cacaofabriek, showing the versatility of urban culture. You can join in too, of course!
Artist Talk Everything you wanted to know about the early days of hip-hop you could ask this day from the people who were there. Even better, the artists who were at the basis of today's most influential cultural movement. Brace yourself for unadulterated anecdotes, facts and nonsense, straight from the source. All for free!
Urban Movies Chill out during a cool urban or hip-hop film? No problem! We have a special hip-hop film programme during the festival weekend.
Halloween tour 2023
Will you participate? Introduce hundreds of children (with parents and grandparents) to the centre.
In a few weeks, it will already be Halloween. And that means: the Halloween children's treasure hunt through the centre on Friday 27 October. Every year there are hundreds of children who walk the Halloween route with their (grand-) parents and thus also get to know our beautiful city centre.
This year, Helmond is enchanted again! It is up to the children to find the right spell to lift the curse. During the scavenger hunt, children will look for clues in the shop windows and at the acts, collecting numbers and letters, which together form the correct spell.
Vinyl Record Fair
Cosy record and CD fair at the Helmond Market, right in the city centre. Participants from all over the country will offer LPs, CDs and other music stuff for sale. Entry is free. This edition takes place during Bluesroute 2023, with bands performing throughout the city for a weekend.
Blues Route
Sell your soul at the crossroads and follow the... Bluesroute! The entire centre of Helmond will be filled with the blues again this weekend! A great free festival that fans should not miss.
This 12 edition will again have a lot on the menu. 3 days, over 45 live acts, 15 indoor and outdoor venues, programme specials and hotel packages. That makes Bluesroute Helmond one of the bigger free blues festivals in the Benelux!
The FairTrade & Global Goals Market
Once a year (on the last Sunday of October) a FairTrade & Global Goals market (FTGG) is organised in Helmond, a meeting place for small charities, organisations, entrepreneurs and interested parties who are or want to be involved in FairTrade and the Global Goals.
The FairTrade & Global Goals Market coincides with the start of FairTrade week in the autumn. Thanks to this market, several collaborations between different organisations have already emerged and new contacts have been made. The market contributes to global awareness among the residents of Helmond and the surrounding area and (new) sustainable initiatives.
