HELMOND - On Thursday 19 March at 4pm, councillor Marita van Lierop opened in
Castle Helmond the outdoor exhibition ‘Kletskoppen’. In this project of Stichting
Goeikes and the Jan van Brabant College brought graduating students and seniors each other's
living world in pictures. The result can be seen from 19 March to 21 April at the
Castle Square.

What do you do in your free time? With that central question, 15 final-year students from the Jan
van Brabant College and 12 Helmond senior citizens interacted recently. The
project is an initiative of the Goeikes Foundation, a foundation that makes arts and culture accessible
makes and commitment to bringing people closer together. The participants were hereby
accompanied by former city artists Daisy Roefs and Tahné Kleijn.

Analogue images and ‘selfies’

In ‘Chattering Heads’, two generations literally look through each other's lens. The youngsters worked with
an analogue camera to capture their elderly buddy's life in a thoughtful way
capture. The elderly, in turn, used the mobile phone to take selfie-style photos and
making videos of the youngsters.

Personal series by guest photographers

In addition to the results of the students and seniors, the exhibition features work by three photographers who are
Associated with the Goeikes Foundation are. Ida van Boekel, Jeanine van Vleuten and Doke Coomans
Werkhoven have portrayed their own aunt, mother and husband respectively, which ensures
for a personal deepening of the exhibition.

Opening and visitor information

The exhibition is until 21 April on display for free at the Castle Square.
