Jeanette Hendriks was born and raised in Groningen. About 10 years ago, she moved to Helmond and she does not regret it for a second until today. In her own words, it is a vibrant, special and surprising city! Jeanette is the owner of Tiendas Diferentes. Lunch and reading café the Bieb
You can sit here very cosily and, besides a “normal” cup of coffee or tea, you can also choose all kinds of different coffee or tea variants here. If, while reading a book, magazine or newspaper, you also want a small snack, a cup of soup or a nice sandwich is recommended.

Welcome home
It's great lunch at Welcome Home. A great initiative of Loes (the owner) who gives people with disabilities a chance to participate in the labour market. You can also see that they enjoy working in this lunchroom.
3. RESTAURANT
Loro Blonyo
Tri and Frans (the owners) started Indonesian takeaway menus from home and now they already have almost a year their own restaurant on the Markt in Helmond. Very nice to see this development!
4. EVENING
FairTrade / Global goals Market
The foundation for this market was laid at Tiendas Diferentes. It was there that the first meeting between 12 different organisations and companies working on FairTrade , sustainability, development cooperation and the Global goals took place in March 2018. Meanwhile, the third edition of the market is scheduled for Sunday 27 October in the centre of Helmond.
5. CULTURE
Cacaofabriek cinemas
For special films or screenings, you have to go to the Cacaofabriek's cinemas. As a person from Groningen, I found it very special to be able to see the film ‘Het Wad’ in the cinema in Helmond. You can come across films that don't run in the big cinema halls here. Every time, a special offer.
