The works will make the Kasteel-Traverse safer, greener and more accessible for cyclists and pedestrians. A section of the Helmond–Deurne cycle highway will also be constructed here.
📅 Phase 2 will begin at the end of June. Work will be carried out on the junction at Stationsstraat, which means it will be temporarily closed.
📅 Phase 3 will begin in early August. Work will then move to the city centre side of the Kasteel-Traverse. The northern carriageway and the Zuidende will then be temporarily closed. The Zuidende will reopen in early September.
Homes, shops and other destinations will remain accessible throughout the works. Please bear in mind that there may be diverted routes and you may need to allow for extra journey time.
In early August, there will also be a night-time closure of the Kasteel-Traverse to put the new traffic arrangements in place. The exact date will be announced later.
